Our first day in New York City was just amazing. All the
places we heard about were actually real, it was unbelievable seeing these
places in front of our eyes, and was one of the most wonderful things ever. At the state library, we met our tour guide, Garret, such of
cool guy! He showed us Central Park, St. John’s Cathedral, Columbia University;
he gave us a lot of information about these places and we learned a lot of
them, but the best thing about him was that he explained everything to us with
humor, passion, fantasy, and making us laugh throughout the whole tour.
The MET is one of the most amazing museums, with pieces of
art from all over the world, just like us, and we could learn about other
cultures and countries’ art, some of
which we didn’t even know about.
Walking down 5th avenue was so much fun, even if
we couldn’t buy anything (Gucci, Bulgari, Louis Vuitton etc. are kind of
expensive, but gifts are always appreciated). In addition, some girls took pictures
with a really HOT model from “Abercrombie & Fitch”, whose abs and back were
AMAZING and of course, he got us a little bit nervous and fascinated at the
same time.
Next stop: Hard Rock Café!! Great place to see and learn about
the history of the Rock ‘ n’ Roll, the food was really good and the music too.
Our group was probably the loudest in the whole café, we sang, took funny pics
of Arielle, laughed like crazy and spit pieces of napkin with our straws like 8
year-old kids.
After our awesome dinner, we finally got the opportunity to
explore Time Square, take photos, selfies, buy candies, go to toy stores etc.
The worst thing is that we almost got late at the bus because of a extremely
slow cashier at “Walgreens”, so we had to run faster than Bolt to get to the
bus right in time. We will never forget this time there, it was wonderful and
like in the movies; people everywhere, lights, voices, caring of your friends
and trying to not get lost haha.
