New York City has always been a dream for some of us. Now,
it has become reality, a true part of our life. Coming to NYC has meant so much
for all of us, understanding that any city can be your own. Today started as a
rainy day, but it didn’t stop our group to visit The Big Apple. We first headed
to Liberty Island, where we saw a 93 meters-high neoclassical sculpture, called
Statue of Liberty, made out of copper. We had so much fun taking pictures with
“our lady,” hanging around the Island.
When we got to the UN, we were pretty
excited to learn more about this organization, and its ideas to preserve world
peace. We didn’t have many opportunities to take pictures, however, it
represented another wonderful experience to explore our world from within.
Times Square is always amazing with all its lights that proves that New York is
the city that never sleeps! The Broadway show “The Phantom Of The Opera” left
us breathless. We had one of the most unique experiences NYC could offer us.
The play provoked in each person of the group a tornado of emotions that even made
some of us cry. We could feel all the emotions the characters wanted to show:
pain, frustration, fear, love, hatred, and confusion. “The Phantom Of The
Opera” blows people’s mind, leaving them speechless. If you, reader, will ever
be in New York City, we highly recommend going to the play. Try to find a
little bit of time in your schedule for pure art.
