TUESDAY!!!

In the morning we had to say goodbye to New York City. We had a great time there and we are sure that many of us are going to come back. We left New York to spend our day in Philadelphia and also go to Washington D.C.
When we arrived in Philadelphia, most of our group went to Reading Terminal to eat lunch. At Reading Terminal we had many international options for lunch. There were not only food places but also little shops. After lunch, we went to the Constitution Center. We saw a little presentation, which gave us some basic knowledge in US history and the constitution. Then we had time to walk around the museum and learn everything from when the US were founded to today. We could even do a little quiz bowl on US history. It was nice to learn more about the country’s history, which we are staying in.

After the museum me met our tour guide Jen who walked with us through Philadelphia. We went by Benjamin Franklin’s grave, historical houses, a church and the Benjamin Franklin museum. We learned a lot about Benjamin Franklin’s life, accomplishments and inventions. Last stop of our tour was a small museum that shows the famous Liberty Bell which is cracked. It was really impressive to see such an important and famous part in US history. We went back on the bus and drove through Philadelphia and saw historical buildings. We even stopped at the Rocky Steps and ran upstairs to take pictures.

We got back on the bus right before it started to rain and went to eat dinner. At the restaurant we had a few options and many of us ate the famous Philly Cheesesteak. We also sang to a student whose birthday was today!
Next stop: Washington D.C.!
